Personal Touch nominated for Ethics Award

A tax break of $3.5 million was approved for the Conventus Partners LP project set for 1001 Main Street.  The $100 million project will result in 100 new jobs, as well as the construction jobs ne3cessary to complete the 6-story facility.  Kaleida Health and UBMD are already lined up as anchor tenants.

American Douglas Metals, Incorporated will move from Tonawanda to a larger site on Bud-Mil Drive in Buffalo.  Business First reports the move will eventually lead to ten new hires.

National Grid has awarded a $50,000 Power Quality Enhancement grant to GM's Tonawanda Engine plant.

The finalists for the 2013 Buffalo Niagara Business Ethics Awards have been announced.  In the small business category, Digits LLC, Elbers Landscape Service and Robert Half International (Buffalo) will vie for honors.  The A.J. Baynes Group and Irish Companies were nominated in the mid-size category.  The large company finalists are Personal Touch Food Service, Rural Metro Medical Services and The Hamister Group.  The awards presentation will be May 9th at Salvatore's Italian Gardens.
